Overview[edit]

A good all-rounder, the Helios is a capable TM and is in almost every way an improvement on the Argon Magnetar.

Background[edit]

The Paranid Helios military transport, adding the ability to carry fighter protection, ensures the Paranid Navy can respond faster to emerging threats.

Physical Characteristics[edit]

The Helios is a modified Demeter freighter.

Combat[edit]

Whilst a little restricted for weapon choices, the Helios is nevertheless quite capable of defending itself with the weapons available to it and does not need assistance to fight off an attack by a light fighter or two.

Equipment[edit]

Missiles

Availability[edit]

The Helios can be bought at the Paranid Shipyards in Cardinal's Domain, Duke's Citadel, Paranid Prime, and Trinity Sanctum.

Suggested Roles[edit]

The Helios does well as a fighter tender, or in trading roles. It is also the cheapest ship that can carry other ships, making it an early-game option for delivering Jump Drives to new ships or collecting them after you retrieve a ship for a mission.
