In Albion Prelude, every race introduced a new Heavy Super Freighter. These ships are similar in function to the Mistral Super Freighter: slower than standard TS ships but with cavernous cargo bays of over 12,000 units. These vessels, which are sometimes referred to as TS+ for convenience, make excellent Universe Traders and supply ships for fleets.
Please Note: Most races regular TS has a variant with similar statistics to their TS+, however, they are usually more expensive, have slightly smaller cargo holds, are slower and less well shielded. As such it is usually advisable to purchase a TS+ instead of a TS Super Freighter XL, such as the Mercury.
