Overview

The Yaki's M7 Frigate is fast for its class, but is poorly shielded and has a smaller laser generator than its counterparts.

Background

Needing some smaller capital ships to provide adequate protection for its embryonic battle fleet, the Akurei was one of two types of frigate developed by the Yaki. Meaning 'Evil Spirit', the Akurei would strike fear into the heart of many pilots.

Combat

The Akurei has a conspicuous lack of rear turrets, and with lower than average steering, it is very vulnerable to attacks to its engines. Its only true advantage as an M7 is its superior top speed, but its lack of firepower, coverage, poor regeneration for weapons and shields, and small cargobay make it perhaps the weakest M7 around.

The Akurei is available from the Yaki Shipyard in Senator's Badlands in Albion Prelude.
