Solar System

The Solar System (also known as the Sol System or simply Sol), located in the far northeast of the jumpgate network, is the seat of power for the Terrans and the ancestral home of the Argon and Goners.

The Solar System consists of eight planets and millions of smaller objects orbiting a class G2V main sequence star known as Sol.

Sectors

The Solar System is comprised of twenty-five separate mapped sectors. In order of distance from Sol, they are:

1. Mercury
2. Venus
3. Earth: The seat of the Terran government is located here.
4. The Moon
5. Mars
6. Asteroid Belt: The gate to the Commonwealth is located here.
7. Jupiter
8. Jupiter 2
9. Jupiter 3
10. Saturn
11. Saturn 2
12. Saturn 3
13. Titan
14. Uranus
15. Uranus 2
16. Uranus 3
17. Neptune
18. Pluto
19. Kuiper Belt
20. Oort Cloud
21. Unknown Sector (Beyond Oort Cloud 1st)
22. Unknown Sector (Beyond Oort Cloud 2nd)
23. Unknown Sector (Beyond Oort Cloud 3rd)
24. Unknown Sector (Beyond Oort Cloud 4th)

Unlike in the Commonwealth, transit between sectors of the Solar System is accomplished by means of Trans-Orbital Accelerators, which cannot be jumped between.
