Overview[edit]
The Fujin can carry M-class cargo and hence the Triplex Scanner, making it along with the Discoverer and Kestrel one of the better scout craft.
Background[edit]
The Yaki developed this small, fast, and maneuverable scout to keep an eye on the outer reaches of their sectors and to accompany raiding parties venturing into other sectors.
Variants[edit]
Fujin[edit]
Not featuring any fancy title, the basic version of the ship is the standard by which other variants are measured.
Fujin Raider[edit]
Raider variants are faster and usually have a higher shield generator power than their regular counterparts, but trade off cargo capacity and some have reduced shield capacity despite the more powerful generator.
Fujin Sentinel[edit]
Sentinel variants of ships tend to be slower, but with higher total shield capacity. Sometimes the shield class is also upgraded for instance from 25 MJ to 200 MJ. The Fujin Sentinel, however, is often considered to be the best variant, being the fastest and best in all other stats, besides cargo capacity (which is still quite adequate), and the negligible M5 hull strength.
Physical Characteristics[edit]
Combat[edit]
Scout ships like the Fujin are too weak to fare well in dogfights. However, the Fujin is one of only three ships in its class to carry the Silkworm Missile and RGW; this makes it surprisingly dangerous to interceptors, heavy fighters, and even corvettes as it can destroy them with a few salvos.
Equipment[edit]
Availability[edit]
The Fujin can be bought at the Yaki Shipyard in Senator's Badlands.
Suggested Roles[edit]
The Fujin Sentinel is both one of the fastest and best shielded variants of the Fujin. This makes it extremely hard to kill and an effective distraction, as well as packing a punch with PACs, letting it kill off enemy M5s.
