Overview

Like the Terran Rapier, the Valkyrie mounts the potent Electromagnetic Plasma Cannon on a scout chassis. It can carry the Triplex Scanner but as it is not available until late in the plot series, it is unlikely to be as useful as the other M-sized scout ships.

Combat

The Valkyrie has a huge weapon power for its class, rivalling most M4s. Its shields are light by M4 standards but as M5s go, the Valkyrie is arguably the most effective in combat, and the only M5 that can hold its own.

Availability

The Valkyrie is available only as a reward for completion of the Balance of Power plotline, and can only be manufactured at the player's HQ. Like all Terran ships, it is difficult and very expensive to source weapons for it.
