Overview[edit]
The Jaguar's speed makes it a good scout and courier ship, but it fares badly in fights due to its paper-thin shields and armor.
Background[edit]
This ship is the successful replacement to the aging Wolf that was in service since the Split first started to construct ships. The Jaguar is capable of increased speed and increased firepower at the expense of cargo space. This ship is primarily used as a scout craft, due to its speed, mainly as it is unable to do more.
Variants[edit]
Jaguar[edit]
Not featuring any fancy title, the basic version of the ship is the standard by which other variants are measured.
Enhanced Jaguar[edit]
Enhanced ships have been tinkered with, often supporting improved speed and shielding. Enhanced ships are generally not sold at shipyards.
Jaguar Hauler[edit]
Hauler variants of ships tend to have larger cargobays and sometimes tougher defences, trading off offensive combat attributes.
Jaguar Raider[edit]
Raider variants are faster and usually have a higher shield generator power than their regular counterparts, but trade off cargo capacity and some have reduced shield capacity despite the more powerful generator.
Jaguar Vanguard[edit]
Vanguard variants of ships are slightly faster and have bigger weapons generators than their regular counterparts.
Physical Characteristics[edit]
Combat[edit]
The Jaguar is a scout, not a fighter.
Equipment[edit]
Availability[edit]
At least one Jaguar variant is available at every Split Shipyard.

The Enhanced Jaguar cannot be bought. It is available as a plot reward during the Terran plot, and as a corporate reward from the Strong Arms upon reaching level 4.
Suggested Roles[edit]
As one of the relative few M5 ships capable of using the Particle Accelerator Cannon, the Jaguar is extremely effective as a light interceptor. Its exceptional speed also makes it a good explorer.
