Overview

The #deca is a massive ship sent out by the Terrans hundreds of years ago to terraform planets. It is one of the few remaining TF/CPU ships, It manufactured and distributed smaller Terraformer ships, now designated as #deca.fade, #deca.deaf, and #deca.cefa. Martin Winters, the lead scientist of the Terraformer Project and the accidental creator of the Xenon escaped from the Solar System on this very ship.

Background

This appears to be one of the huge CPU ships originally dispatched from Earth to terraform planets and has been modified for a defensive role.

The CPU ship designated #deca was assigned to the Aldrin colony, and was one of the only such vessels not to turn on and destroy its owners in the early 2140s.

Physical Characteristics

The #deca is a massive cylindrical ship, with various structures sticking out of her hull.

Combat

Though not originally designed for battle, the #deca appears to have been modified for a defensive role. Almost a thousand years after her construction, she is still capable of handling herself against some foes. While she boasts massive shielding, she cannot stand up to a destroyer even when outfitted entirely with Gamma Kyon Emitters. Typical carrier tactics apply in combat, although her poor mobility and sheer size prevents her from escaping a determined attack.

Oddly enough, the #deca's shielding is powerful enough that she can survive the OOS assault of a Xenon Q, like the M2-class Tyr and Osaka, but her weak weaponry prevents her from returning the favor.

Equipment

The #deca can install Poltergeist and Spectre missiles for use in combat. She also uses all Kha'ak kyon weapons in the absence of any other guns, so if she is captured she is still very difficult to arm.

Availability

The #deca is not available for sale at any known shipyards. She can, however, be captured during the Terran plot. As of 3.1.1 (or possibly 3.1) seems to be boardable even after completion of the Terran plot.

Suggested Roles

Although being extremely difficult to obtain makes her more of a trophy piece, the #deca's large hangar makes her a tough ship in her own right. If a full complement of Gamma Kyon Emitters can be acquired, she can have limited point defense capability while her fighter wings take care of enemies, as the #deca herself cannot stand up to destroyer attacks.
